Indiana CNA Training
Indiana CNA Training: To become a Certified Nursing Assistant in Indiana, aspirants must enroll in and complete a state-approved training program. Indiana mandates at least 105 hours of training, which includes both classroom instruction and hands-on clinical sessions.
Education Requirements: While the state of Indiana doesn’t specify that a high school diploma or GED is necessary for CNA training, individual training institutions might have this as a requirement. It’s also advisable to have a high school diploma when considering future career advancements and job prospects.
Indiana CNA Examination: After the training, candidates are required to pass the state’s CNA competency exam. This examination is split into two parts: a written or oral test and a skills demonstration segment where candidates need to perform specific nursing assistant tasks.

Indiana CNA Registry
The Indiana Department of Health maintains the Certified Nurse Aide, Home Health Aide, and Qualified Medication Aide Registries. These registries list aides who meet federal and/or state requirements to work in Indiana, including in licensed nursing homes, home health agencies, or hospices. To be listed, aides must complete the appropriate training and testing and have no findings against them on the Registry. The Registry can be accessed online or through contact with the Aides Registry Program for verification purposes.
