In South Carolina, to work as a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) in a Medicaid-certified nursing facility, one must be listed on the state’s Nurse Aide Registry. To become certified, a non-certified nurse aide can work in a Medicaid-certified facility for up to four months if they are enrolled in or have completed a state-approved training program.
